Variants

There are also TUI bearings, which have an intermediate layer of sintered bronze. The corrosion resistance is slightly affected in this variant.

Advantages

  • PTFE has remarkable stability towards oxygen, chemicals, solvents, weather conditions, and flame. Due to its excellent coefficient of friction, PTFE significantly reduces the torque generated by the friction between parts. It also eliminates the need for additional lubrication.
  • The absence of bronze in TI bushes significantly improves their corrosion resistance.

Applications

TI bushes, with their excellent corrosion resistance, are widely used in the chemical industry. Their corrosion resistance also makes them suitable for diverse applications such as pool elements or marine equipment. Furthermore, TI bushes are highly appreciated in the medical and food industries, where cleanliness requirements are paramount.

TI bushes comply with European directives, 2000/53/EC, concerning the disposal of hazardous substances from end-of-life vehicles (ELV directive), and 2002/95/EC, limiting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS directive).
