PEHD (polyethylene high-density) is an economical thermoplastic material that combines a multitude of advantages. Both strong and lightweight, PEHD offers good impact resistance. As an excellent electrical insulator, it has a very low coefficient of friction and absorbs minimal moisture.
Perfectly suited for machining, it can withstand temperatures ranging from -50 °C to +105 °C and has good chemical resistance. Some PEHD variants are available in food-grade quality.
Thanks to its advantageous properties, PEHD is used in diverse sectors such as the food industry, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as construction.
Among its various applications, PEHD is used in the manufacturing of wipers, bushings, and gaskets.
