PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer that combines very high mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties. Its main features include compatibility with many chemical substances, resistance to creep, wear, and abrasion.
Being usable at very low and very high temperatures (-60 °C to +250 °C), PEEK is also valued for its insulating quality. Its other characteristics include low moisture absorption and a low coefficient of friction. Thanks to these properties, PEEK serves as an alternative to metallic materials such as steel or aluminum.
Due to its excellent mechanical resistance to high pressures and temperatures, PEEK is employed in various industrial sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical equipment, electronics, and the semiconductor industry.
In the food industry, PEEK is valued for its resistance to chemicals, high temperatures, and abrasion. PEEK is used in the manufacturing of wipers, bearings, bushings, and sliding washers.
