HNBR, also known as HSN (highly saturated nitrile), is used when the characteristics of NBR are not sufficiant anymore.
HNBR (hydrogenated nitrile rubber) provides a better temperature tolerance and a better resistance to wear and ozone than NBR.
The HNBR benefits from low permanent deformation under compression due to its high wear resistance, which is its main characteristic. Its mechanical properties are also excellent.
HNBR is used in housing seals and pneumatic applications due to its good wear resistance. In addition to that, HNBR is used for applications with biodiesel or liquid gas.
Techné offers specific HNBR with improved abrasion resistance.
