FKM (fluoroelastomer) elastomers are mainly used for their great resistance to high temperature and chemical substances. FKM is also resistant to UV radiation, ozone, acids and steam and is compatible with oils and fuels. FKM is also appreciated for its mechanical properties.
Standard FKM material compounds are not suitable for rotative applications at low temperatures. However, Techné (can) propose(s) special FKM material compounds for low temperatures.
FKM seals are produced in black, green and brown. On request, Techné also provides FKM seals in VITON®.
Application fields and products
FKM is useful for applications in hydraulic systems or vehicle engines. O-rings and oil seals in FKM are available from stock.
Techné provdes specific FKM compounds for applications with steam, biodiesel or liquid gas.
